WELCOME
SESSIONS

The place to be!

Newcomers to Genopole were officially welcomed by GIP Chief Executive Gilles Trystram and SEM Head David Bodet at the Welcome Sessions held 11 April and 10 October 2023. At these events, Genopole’s new citizens learn about the benefits of the biocluster, and the biocluster about its new citizens.

Indeed, the newcomers discovered the ecosystem, the shared-use technological platforms, and the innovation accompaniment programs provided by Genopole teams. They then had the opportunity to present the innovative projects they were bringing to the biocluster.

The two 2023 Welcome Sessions were also an opportunity to present the new envirotech facility, the “L’Oréal Green Sciences Incubator @Genopole.” Providing both an equipped laboratory and expert teams, this incubator will welcome start-ups forwarding disruptive innovations for envirotech (biotechnologies, green chemistry, innovative culturing, etc.).

L’Oréal aims to biosource 90% of its production by 2023.

Beyond the accompaniment programs for businesses, the Welcome Sessions also presented the partners providing support to research and innovation.

For example, the hospital workers chosen as laureates for the Call for Innovative Ideas were able to present their projects in that setting of biomedical research support programs. Equally, the Atige1 program, which helps researchers create a team at a campus laboratory, was promoted at the Sessions. Finally, the staff of the new companies learned about the range of support programs for research and innovation, and had a chance to exchange with their colleagues already present at Genopole.
