A recognition
of Genopole's expertise:
start-up successes
and distinctions

With these successes, Genopole again confirms its role as a catalyst for innovation and its commitment to contributing to the emergence of a new generation of sector-leading businesses.

The attribution of the Innov’up label to Genopole signals a positive direction for the biocluster, as does the fact that five of its start-ups were laureates of the 25th edition of the national i-Lab innovation competition. From the 400 candidates for this latter, 79 laureates were named, including five from Genopole, two of which were awarded the national Grand Prize: STH Biotech for its plant-based medical biotechnologies project Biocap, and Nutropy for its fermentation-based milk protein production optimization project NTPilab2023. The three other Genopole laureates were Kyron.bio for its therapeutic protein biomanufacturing project, Floating Genes for its early cancer diagnostic test, and Amatera Biosciences for its technology to improve climate change adaptation in coffee plants.

These accomplishments underline not only the exceptional potential of Genopole’s start-ups, but also the quality of support and expertise they have access to at the biocluster. Indeed, four of the five laureates participated in the Shaker and Gene.iO acceleration programs, benefiting from custom-tailored scientific and commercial accompaniment to develop their innovations.
