On 28 March, Genopole and L’Oréal Recherche & Innovation inaugurated a new facility named the “L’Oréal Green Sciences Incubator @Genopole.” With a focus on applications for the cosmetics industry, this incubator will welcome high-tech start-ups forwarding disruptive innovations (biotechnologies, green chemistry, green extraction), for example Algentech and Novobiom. These disciplines, whether scientific or technological, are experiencing unprecedented growth. The start-ups at the Green Sciences Incubator will benefit from scientific accompaniment in the form of two laboratories with expert teams and fully equipped by SEM Genopole, and through access to Genopole’s shared-use technological platforms. They will also receive business support from GIP Genopole via personalized accompaniment programs aimed at accelerating their growth over four business issues: fund raising, market access, key accounts partnerships and communication.
Within a partnership for the incubation of green sciences start-ups, a call for candidates was launched with Hello Tomorrow in 2023. The candidate start-ups were provided with an “Ask Me Anything” webinar on 17 January 2023.
